Welcome to the Kindred Spirits Gift Shop, LLC, the only resource dedicated to providing a distinctive collection of beautiful, keepsake merchandise, and gift baskets for the caregiver, pet-sitter, rescue worker, sanctuary worker -- any animal lover who shares daily life with God's wonderful creatures. For the animal companion, for mom, for baby, for the home . . . our “soulful” gifts and gift baskets run the gamut from fun to educational, from decorative to rejuvenating, from introspective to inspirational, and from comforting to healing.

Under no circumstances do we sell or rent our customer names, addresses, or any other customer information whatsoever. We only use your name, e-mail address, telephone number, mailing address, and credit card information to process your orders. This information is stored in a secure database and is only available to individuals with proper authorization.

After your order has been filled, your credit card information is deleted from our database. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our website to another website, our website's privacy policy will no longer be in effect. You will be subject to the rules and policies of that site, and we encourage you to review them.

Commitment to Data Security

All credit card transactions are handled by PayPal, who automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to PayPal's using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). The Kindred Spirits Gift Shop, LLC website also uses a Geotrust Secure Site SSL Certificate to further protect your personal information and transactions. Please note that your transaction will appear on your credit card statement as “The Pet Guardian,” “Kindred Spirits Gift Shop,” or any derivative thereof.

Ordering

Secure on-line ordering is available for Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover through our own merchant account, or Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Electronic Check through PayPal.

We do not add any credit card surcharges. We will accept personal checks; however, please allow 7 additional days for the check to clear. Besides ordering on-line, you may also order by calling us at 303-450-PAWS (7297) or by faxing us at 303-452-5020. We will begin processing your order upon receipt of your order form, but we cannot ship until payment is received.

Colorado Orders: All deliveries to Colorado are subject to the applicable sales tax. Delivery by courier or by us personally in the Denver/Boulder metro area is available. Please call us before placing your order so we can provide up-to-the-minute delivery rates for your packages in the Denver/Boulder metro area. Additionally, you may arrange to pick up your order from us at no charge. Please call first!

Online Orders: A very moderate shipping and handling charge of $2.00 will be added to EACH order, no matter how many items are ordered. Please note we do not derive any profit from this and in many cases incur a loss. The shipping and handling charge is to cover our shipping materials, any needed insurance (an option you cannot select on checkout), fuel costs that get passed on to us as a retailer, and any unexpected and unanticipated delivery costs we may incur after you order.  Unfortunately, with the postal rates and UPS rates continually changing, there is no way we can recoup our costs without increasing the cost of each individual item we sell, something we do not want to do. We continually strive to offer you the best in gifts, and at the same time maintain our quality, great packaging, and moderate pricing structures. We feel our merchandise prices are extremely fair and competitive and in many cases below what other online retailers charge.

Personalized Gift Card

A personalized message will be sent with your gift basket. Simply enter your message in the "Gift Card Message" section when ordering. Unless you wish to remain anonymous to the recipient, be sure to sign your name!

If you are purchasing an item for someone as a gift, please let us know in the Comments section upon checkout. We are happy to “spruce up” your gift and include a gift card with your personal message at no cost to you.

Receipts/Statements

Because the majority of our shipments are shipped directly to the gift recipient, we do not include any payment information with the order. You will receive an automated receipt by e-mail when you place your order. Receipts by fax or mail are available upon request.

Pricing, Availability, and Limits

Prices, specifications, and availability of products are subject to change without notice. Published prices do not include shipping, handling, sales tax, and insurance. We will notify you of any corrections or changes and ask for your approval before we complete your order. We will not complete your order until we have your approval. We reserve the right to limit sales, including the right to prohibit sales to resellers, even after we have received and confirmed your order.

Substitutions

Our inventory is constantly changing due to the discovery of new items, the availability of products from suppliers, the discontinuation of products by suppliers, and seasonal changes. Substitutions may sometimes be necessary, but quality will never be compromised. Products and containers will only be substituted for other items with an equal or greater value, with no additional costs to you and only with your prior approval.

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. Although individual situations and circumstances will vary, our general policy is shown below. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

If an item is unsatisfactory, please send us a detailed e-mail within 5 days of receipt of your order. Please do not discard any item, as we may issue a call tag to pick up the order. Refunds, either full or partial, will be determined upon review.

To return or exchange an item, send an e-mail to us within 5 days of receipt of your order indicating your reason for return. Please note: Returned items must be in new condition with unopened packaging and products intact. Shipping costs for returns or exchanges will be your responsibility. Refunds or credits do not include original shipping and handling charges. Note: Refunds on purchases made with a credit card will be posted to the original credit card used at the time of sale.

If an item is returned to us unopened because it was refused or declared undeliverable, you have the option to re-ship and to pay the additional shipping charges. Or if you wish to cancel the order, we will give you a 50% credit, excluding the shipping charges, to cover our restocking costs.

Most often, our delivery providers (UPS, USPS) have a signature release waiver and will leave packages at their own discretion (front porch, backdoor, neighbor, etc.) if they feel it is a secure location. Tracking information is provided on all packages (excluding APO/FPO addresses) as proof of delivery. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery, but we will assist you with putting a tracer on the package for recovery or for a refund from the delivery carrier.

Insurance is provided on all our items. If a product arrives broken or damaged during shipment, send an e-mail to sales@kindredspiritsgiftshop.com within 5 days, and we will arrange shipping for you to exchange the item at no charge to you. Please keep the original box and packaging so a claim can be filed with the delivery provider.

Domestic Shipping

All orders are shipped F.O.B. destination once credit is approved. In an effort to deliver all products in a timely manner, your order may be fulfilled in multiple shipments. If any item in your order is delayed or back ordered, we will ship the items when they become available. You may receive more than one shipment for each order. The standard shipping method is ground shipping, which usually takes 3 to 5 business days.

Note: We are unable to ship to APO/FPO or P.O. Box addresses at this time.

All orders are shipped Monday through Friday only during regular business hours. Sunday delivery is not available. Overnight air shipping is not available for Saturday or Sunday delivery. Delivery time is from point of order fulfillment, not order placement. During the check-out process, you may select a shipping method.

Ground Delivery:Allow three-to-five non-holiday business days for delivery.
Next-Day Air: Orders must be received by 2 p.m.
Second-Day Air:Two non-holiday business days for delivery.
Three-Day Select:Three non-holiday business days for delivery.
